Sunshine, skyline views, femmes, thems, angels and fae: Siouxsie Q will host the Dangerous Angels Day Party on April 19th in collaboration with legendary author Francesca Lia Block and Somewhere Special, a new historic rooftop venue in the heart of downtown Los Angeles.
For Immediate Release: April 14, 2026
(HOLLYWOOD, CA) Award-winning director, producer, performer, and creative force Siouxsie Q (https://www.instagram.com/siouxsieqmedia) invites guests to step into a world of fantasy and nostalgia at the “Dangerous Angels” Day Party, taking place Sunday, April 19 from 1 PM to 7 PM at Somewhere Special, the rooftop bar at the top of the STILE Hotel in Downtown Los Angeles. The event is free with RSVP, which can be made at https://partiful.com/e/KYHG66forgK2TrK5eAUU.
Presented in collaboration with L.A.'s literary crown jewel Francesca Lia Block (https://www.instagram.com/francescaliablock) and Somewhere Special (https://www.instagram.com/somewherespecial.la/), the immersive daytime gathering draws inspiration from Block's beloved Dangerous Angels series, blending nostalgic beats, dreamy performances, and vibrant community together in a lush rooftop setting located at 929 S Broadway, Los Angeles, CA.
Guests can expect stacked throwback sets from DJs Ethicaldrvgs (https://www.instagram.com/ethicaldrvgs) and Modestpup (https://www.instagram.com/modestpup), spinning 80s, 90s, new wave, disco, and punk-flavored favorites. The event will also feature a dangerously angelic live performance from rising starlet Vivi S. Fierce (https://www.instagram.com/vivisfierce), along with enchanted feats of extraordinary silliness from Michael Vegas (https://www.instagram.com/michaelvegas) and host Siouxsie Q herself. Seemingly lifted directly from one of Block's modern fairy tales, event highlights will also include a real angel encounter (https://www.instagram.com/angelbirdflight/) kicking off the festivities at 1:11 p.m., followed by go-go angel boy August Rain welcoming guests to the checkerboard dancefloor surrounded by tropical plants. A Jayne Mansfield look-alike contest will commence at 3:33 PM, all set against sweeping skyline views of the one true City of Angels.
Attendees are encouraged to arrive heavenly dressed in their best glam, glitz, vintage, punk, mermaid, starlet, fairy, and faun-inspired looks.
For those seeking to add a dose of esoteric opulence to their afternoon, VIP table and bottle service guests will also receive a personalized tarot experience and go home with a unique rare fantasy paperback by Francesca Lia Block, courtesy of Paperback Hunt (https://www.instagram.com/paperbackhunt). For inquiries regarding VIP table reservations and bottle service, please contact info@somewherespecial.la.
Francesca Lia Block (https://francescaliablock.com/) is a defining voice of Los Angeles mythmaking, best known for her groundbreaking works including Weetzie Bat of the Dangerous Angels series, which blends punk sensibilities and magical realism, while celebrating unconventional identities and chosen family.

"The Dangerous Angels series changed my life, and I know that's true for so many other people out there,” said Siouxsie Q. “I’m always chasing that sense of wonder, everyday magic, and fierce community in everything I do, and this party is my way of crystallizing that into an immersive afternoon experience; I’d be honored to have you come be a part of it.”
Somewhere Special, a new rooftop venue atop the historic United Theater and connected to the STILE Hotel, offers whimsical comfort food and a full drink menu—including a delightful array of non-alcoholic options—alongside one of the city's best panoramic views.
